HOLIDAY SCHOOLING

Making every holiday a hands-on, joy-filled learning adventure—at home or in the classroom.

At Holiday School, we believe learning should be joyful, memorable, and full of wonder. Every holiday—big or small—is an opportunity to explore new ideas, dive into history and culture, spark creativity, and make memories together.

Our unit studies and lesson plans are designed for homeschoolers, co-ops, and curious families who want education to feel like a celebration. But they’re also a perfect fit for traditional classrooms—a great way to add a spark to your lesson plans, make a special occasion memorable, or break up the routine with hands-on, holiday-inspired learning.

Whether you’re gathering around the table for an art project, baking a recipe from another culture, or uncovering the fascinating story behind a holiday tradition, you’ll be learning without it feeling like “school.”

We do the planning so you can do the connecting. Our resources are ready to print, easy to use, and adaptable for a wide range of ages and learning styles. From New Year’s to National Donut Day, we help you make each season of the year a little more magical—and a lot more meaningful.

Because childhood is short, and the best lessons are the ones you live together.

Rebekah McBride

Founder, Holiday School

Hi, I’m Rebekah, a homeschooling mom of four wild boys. My husband and I are both second-generation homeschoolers, and we enjoy the flexibility this lifestyle gives our family—especially being able to take advantage of coastal living with spontaneous trips to the beach.

Community and connection are important to us. Since we don’t have family nearby, we’ve had to build our “village” from scratch, and we recognize how precious it is. My husband oversees our local youth baseball league (which all our boys play in), and I founded our local homeschool group—including a co-op that started out of my home and has now grown to over 100 students.

Over the years, I’ve spent many holidays creating hands-on lessons and experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and connection. Many of these ideas first came to life while celebrating at home with the boys, while others were intended to bring together our local homeschool community, like our group’s annual Pi Day event.

I believe in the joy of learning together and in the magic of turning ordinary days into wonder-filled memories through celebration.

Happy holidays!
